Completed Residence 5

A new unique residence completed in the Masaki area of Dar es Salaam. This was a tight site so a decision was taken to design the single storey building in a linear manner and to arrange around an infinity pool. Visitor approach is to the rear of the building and all of the main rooms face out onto a long landscaped garden.

All of the bedrooms have been arranged in a stand-alone “pod” manner so that each bedroom unit is unique and individual, and has tropical landscaped courtyards between them.

All of the spaces take advantage of clerestory lighting which not only provides reflected light into the spaces but, through German engineered louvred windows systems, allows natural (high-level) ventilation to all spaces. This was a client requirement.
