New Indoor Arena

IPA were requested by the MICAS to devise the concept design for a new 15,000 seat stadium to be located in Dodoma. It is intended that the stadium will house not only sporting events, but also showcase a wide range of Tanzanian musical talent.

IPA carried out extensive research prior to undertaking this design to ensure that it complied with all current data and standards for indoor Arena.

Included in the overall planning, over and above the requirement for 15,000 spectator seats, our VIP areas, as well as training and medical facilities, press areas, and state-of-the-art corporate facilities.

Critical to this design is that it is planned for maximum flexibility in terms of staging events with very different particular requirements. And as such, the seating is designed to be retractable to allow for everything from sports viewing in the round, as well as staged events for musical and other such occasions.
