NMB Headquarters

This is a new dedicated office headquarters for NMB bank. Construction was commenced in 2012 and completed in 2014. The building is located on the former site of Nyumba ya Sanaa – or House of Arts. Sitting on an important intersection of Ohio, Upanga and Bibi Titi Mohamed streets. It includes 10,000 m² of usable office space, a new bank branch, a gallery for Nyumba ya Sanaa and 6000 m² of car parking in 2 basement floors.

The building takes advantage of views across Gymkhana golf course towards the Indian Ocean. The main exterior feature is vertical coloured ceramic shading louvres on all elevations.

This building won Tanzanian “Building Of The Year” for 2015. And has become a significant feature on the urban landscape of Dar es Salaam since it was built.
