New Prototype Secondary School Design

IPA were engaged to devise prototype designs for standard regional secondary schools to be constructed in various regions throughout Tanzania. The challenge was to come up with creative design solutions which provide to students a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

The designs included typical prototype classrooms, library buildings, canteens, science & art blocks, IT facilities as well as staff accommodation. Key to the entire design approach was to design classrooms which took maximum advantage of cross ventilation and automatic warm air extracts through centrifugal fans.
